Great Cat Food!

Have been feeding my 2 cats this food for many years and they really like the taste and are very healthy. I also like that it has a Velcro sealer on the bag which makes it easy to keep it air tight.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Re: Best pet food on the market.

I have always been of the opinion that Hill's Science products are the best on the market. I have fed many pets in the past and always have found it to be of excellent quality and a good value as well. Forget even buying cheap grocery store food for your animals. Don't treat them like second class citizens, buy them the best. In the long run you will find it is cost effective because all of your pets will stay healthier.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Helps with hairballs

Lilly, my 19-year old DSH, has noticeably fewer hairballs since she's been on this food. It used to be 1 every couple of days; now it's barely 1 per month. (We've also been brushing her more and giving her a gel supplement to further cut down hairballs.) This food gets dinged a star for palatability. Lilly is slow to eat her food (she prefers the gel), but she does eat it eventually and it works. She's also been drinking more water.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I have 5 cats. They groom each other a lot. This year, the Momma cat had to go to the vet due to severe constipation. It was hairball related. I tried a few things before SD Hairball Control, but the cat kept getting severely constipated. I now feed them all SD Hairball and I believe it to be effective. No more trips to our vet. Granted, the cats sometimes vomit up hair balls, but I would rather have it out of the body than heading down to the intestines where problems can occur.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My cats like to eat their portion quickly. I worry about hairballs because the younger one grooms both himself & the older cat. The hairball problem markedly decreased when I began to feed my cats this product. There coats are soft & glossy & they have more energy than they used to have.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Which food is the best for a 3 month old kitten that need fiber?

  1. My vet has told me that a great source of fiber is pumpkin. You can add pumpkin ( not pumpkin pie filling, just canned pumpkin) to dry food and boost that fiber right up there. Try mixing in a small amount, then gradually adding about 1 tsp every other day or so while watching the litterbox. Once you see a decent amount of feces, note how much pumpkin you're using and stick with it. I hope you have found a treatment to boost your kitty's fiber before this, but if not, pumpkin is a good fiber booster for felines.

Why can't the re-closeable bags be improved so they actually do re-close.
