Bebo will only eat Kaytee Exact!

Spanky457

My cockatiel will not eat anything else! I ordered from Foster & Smith after a local pet store told me they did not make it anymore. I bought another brand of food the pet store said a favorite with all the birds, but my bird refused to eat it so I had to return it. The breeder I bought him from used the Kaytee Exact and Bebo loves it. I was so happy to find the food is still in production & available through Foster & Smith!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Only type of food my cockatiel will eat

This is the only type of food that my cockatiel will eat. She will not eat any of the other ingredients that are included in other brands. Drs. Foster and Smith is one of the very few places that I am able to purchase this food. Hope they will never stop carrying this brand.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Review Summary?

Summary of a summary? Come on guys: this should be simple minded if you want people to do this stuff! These are the pellets my feathered friend, Seraph, has been eating all his life, and the local brick and mortars decided to stop selling, so this is now one more item on my list I must use the web to get. The pellets arrived as expected in a timely manner, and was inspected and accepted by Seraph.

Good Deal for the price

I usually purchase Harrson's pellets for my two cockatiels. I decided to give this a try. The birds seemed to enjoy it as much as the Harrison's. My only problem with it is that the pellets are smaller, therefore, they went through the bag faster. So the savings I got from switching brands may have literally been "eaten up." I sill plan to buy again.

This is a great product that has greatly improved the overall health of my cockatiel. It is hard to find locally and Foster Smith Prices are very reasonable. On a side note (You gotta hope that their shipping department actually sends you what you ordered otherwise you may have to wait to get your merchandise)

Yes, I recommend this product.

Parakeet Fakeout

StacyBK

I actually use this food for our parakeets. I was having a hard time getting them converted over from a seed diet to pellet food. I read somewhere that you needed to find pellet food that resembles seed. This is the food that I found the closest to resembling seed and IT WORKED and THEY LOVE IT!!! If you are trying to convert your birds over from a seed diet to a pellet food, try this, as it was a God send for us.

I am very happy to have a place to order this product, at a discount, and with quick delivery service! My local large pet store caters to cats and dogs, and I can no longer get this kind of food for my cockatiels. Thanks for being there for the rest of us!

Yes, I recommend this product.

  1. Catmar, Thank you for your question. We actually carried the 25-pound size for the Kaytee Exact Natural Cokatiel Diet back in 2008, however we do not have any information available as to why this was discontinued. According to our Merchandising Department, we are currently considering adding this back to our April 2012 bird catalog. mjs
