Care & Feeding Instructions: When introducing a guinea pig to a new food, begin with a mixture of the old and new foods, gradually increasing the amount of the new food over a 7 to 10 day period. This will prevent digestive upsets as well as allowing your pet to adjust to something new. The following feeding amounts can be used as a starting point and should be adjusted to maintain a guinea pig's proper weight. The portions shown below are for one guinea pig. Adjust the amount if additional guinea pigs are fed. Feeding Amount: 2 Tbsp. Other Keys to keeping a healthy guinea pig. Keeping clean water is an essential component of a good pet care program. Clean cage at least weekly. Storage Instructions: For maximum freshness, store in a cool, dry location. Reseal between each use. Refrigerate or freeze for extended storage.

Questions
how often do you feed a guinea pig
- They should always have hay and guinea pig food in a bowl available at all times EVERY DAY. They should have fresh water as well. You can feed them fresh vegetables as a treat a few times a week. But they are nibblers and must have hay at all times or their teeth will grow too long. They also can not store vitamin C in their bodies and you must provide guinea pig food so that they get that every day.
Helpful?
do i have to still buy hay
- Yes because they consume a large amount of hay every day.

How long does each bag last for 2 guinea pigs?
