I gave this 2 stars instead of one beacuse it was a great size toy for the price I paid. Unfortunately the wood was so soft it was disentegrating. There was quite a bit of chipped wood in the box it arrived in and I could barely handle the toy without it crumbling like bits of mulch.
I decided it was too soft , possibly due to being old or poorly stored, so I returned it to the store.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Does anyone know what type of metal the clasp, chain and bell are made of?
- Well the only metal on it is the bells. I don't know quiet what they are made out of but it hasn't rust, or anything to make it dangerous
