Marshall Guarantee: Feed Marshall Premium Ferret Diet to your ferret as recommended. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, return the unused portion in the original package to the place of purchase for a full refund of the purchase price.

Feeding Recommendations: Ferrets of all ages should have food and fresh water available at all times. Young Ferrets (6-11 weeks old): It is important at this age to sufficiently moisten the diet for your young ferret. Mix three parts warm fresh water to one part Marshall Diet (3:1 ratio). Allow the mixture to sit for three to five minutes. Add more Marshall Diet or water until it reaches a wet oatmeal consistency. Keep some dry diet available at this age so your ferret will adjust to a completely dry diet by the time it is 12-13 weeks of age. Adolescent and Adult Ferrets (12 weeks and older): By now, your ferret should have converted to the dry diet. Keep fresh water and Marshall Diet available at all times.

I have been using this ferret food for at least 8 years now, and my ferrets love it! its soft enough so they don't chip their teeth like some of the really hard ferret food you can get... I don't ever plan on changing their diet. 10/10!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Stinky Poos

I started out feeding this to my ferret. This food is alright if you have a baby ferret as you can mix water to make a paste that most teething babies love and is very easy for them to eat. However, I have noticed that it makes my ferret stink and makes her poos stinky and almost unbearable as well. Not only this, but this food contains corn pretty high up on the ingredients list, which ferrets cannot digest. For less stinky poos and no corn, try Grain-free Zupreem for ferrets, which Petco also sells.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 3 of 3 Questions
Sort by: Newest Answers

How much fiber does this product have in it?

  1. This is all I feed my ferret and she has not been ill and loves it. Ferrets are very active. Also a ferret does not have a cecum and a very different GI system. •If you’re feeding your pets ferret kibble then you need to make sure that it consists of 30-40% crude animal based protein and 15-20% fat. •The first 3 ingredients on the food label should be meat-based. Grains, such as corn, rice and wheat only act as fillers and are not digestible for a ferret. •There should be no added sweeteners such as molasses, dextrose, corn syrup and raisin juice (good luck trying to find such a kibble!). •There should be no dried fruits or vegetables as part of the ingredients.

how long does the food stay good for?

  1. They have use by a certain date on the packaging.

How offten do you feed a ferret?

  1. my ferrets are transitioning from wet to dry food so I feed them 3 times a day moist food and they have dry food available at all times.
