Amazing Cage! Worth the Price!

I love this cage! It's strong, sturdy, and big! No tools necessary to assemble, as the pieces lock into each other. The wrought iron makes it heavy (70lb!) so the cage is not wobbly if you move it around and stays in place. I have a photo comparison between the old (guinea pig cage) to this one I attached.
This is perfect for my two rats, they love it! They climb all over the bars, I'm almost considering getting a third rattie from how much space they have here.
The pans are not deep, so if you do plan to put litter, either make one out of cardboard or buy one from the company. Instead of using litter all around, I just got them a litter box for one corner and covered the floors with fleece.
Some pieces were bent and messed up a bit when they arrived, but it was UPS throwing it around I guess. When I talk to Petco we worked things out, such a great company!

after having some troubles with another i had bought and returned, i decided to order this cage. i am so glad i did! shipping was very quick( about 3 or 4 days). it's very sturdy and setup was so easy, only a 2 person job! my girls love all the room to run and play. i'd definitely recommend this cage to anyone who has the room for it :3

I have the single unit Critter Nation for my 4 rats and it's amazing. The doors make it so easy to fit houses and toys inside and to interact with the rats. The bars are very close together which allow for even young or tiny pets to live in it safely. The metal material it is made out of is study and easy to clean.

This is the best rat cage I have ever had. It is stable, strong, sturdy, extremely well built, roomy enough for my 2 rats, could add a few more if I wanted to. VERY easy to put together. Was hesitant on buying because of the price BUT now am VERY happy and satisfied, it is worth spending the extra money. To me, It is the ONLY rat cage or small animal cage I will ever buy from now on. WINNER WITH THIS ONE!!

can a guinea pig or two use this habitat?
- The Critter Nation cage is not designed with Guineas in mind, therefore we cannot recommend it's use for Guineas. The Guinea Habitat is specifically designed for guinea's needs.

How many rats can live comfortably in this cage?
- I have two rats in there right now, I'm considering on getting a third from how big this cage is. Attached is a size comparison between a guinea pig cage to this one, you can tell from the wooden house they are dramatically different sizes.

What are the dimensions? And what type of bedding do you recommend since the tray does not look very deep?
- It's 36" L X 24" W X 39" H with 1/2" wire spacing The tray is not deep, but the company does sell a deeper tray. I covered my trays with fleece and just put a litter box in the corner for them to use.Less litter being used, less mess, and the floor is extra comfy.

Is it possible to turn it into a 3 level cage with the help of another addition ?
- You can attach the smaller base on either side of the cage, but dumbos are big rats so I think that will be two crampped for more than one dumbo. The additional cage would be better for you.

On the Midwest Critter Nation with Stand, is the stand detachable? If so, what are the dimensions excluding the stand?
- The stand is what you assemble first, but I think when I assembled it that those were some necessary slots I needed to hold the cage in place and make it whole (no tools required, everything just fits in to other pieces). It adds about a foot in height, but I don't think you use it seperate. Your best bet is to maybe get the add on unit, and cover the section of the bottom tray with the hole (there's a hole because it's an add on to make this current cage expandable to access other cages)

Would this cage be suitable for two Dumbo Rats?
- I have two fancy (female) rats, but I think it's big enough to have three or four really. So probably two dumbo rats would be perfect, but no more than that.

Is this bad for rats feet?!?
- The cage is flat plastic, and the ramp comes with a fleece cover, so the rat's feet do not touch wires. I even covered the plastic bottom with a fleece blanket for additional comfort.

Can the leg/wheel portion of the cage be removed or is it all one solid piece?
- The stand is necessary to hold the cage together; since no tools are required your putting pieces into each other and that's a vital part to hold them all together. You can maybe try getting the add on cage, but there is a gap on the bottom floor so you'd have to have something on the bottom to make it a solid surface.
