Our dog has been tested & among other things is highly allergic to green peas. Is it safe for him to eat the venison& sweet potato food?

That would be any of the following formulas: L.I.D. Potato & Duck, L.I.D. Potato & Kangaroo, L.I.D. Potato & Rabbit, L.I.D. Sweet Potato & Chicken, or L.I.D. Sweet Potato & Fish. what's the best Natural Balance dog food for a Boston Terrier?
- I did a lot of research when our Llasa started having serious skin issues - scratching himself bloody raw. Most reports said the most common allergy was to grains so I tried numerous grain free dog foods - excellent manufactures but none worked for Ricki UNTIL I tried Natural Balance L.I.D. (limited ingredient diet). Research also said to go with a food they weren't used to so I went with Venison and Sweet Potatoes (found all my kids love sweet pot). I triedi the Bison but while they ate it, they preferred the Venison. Dick Van Patton, actor, is behind the formula for Natural Balance foods and I can never thank him enough.

What food is best for a dog with ear infections or allergies?
- My dog's chronic ear infections were due to allergies caused by food. I switched him to Purina One Sensitive Systems, which is salmon based. He did well on it, but doesn't really like the fish. I am going to try the Natural Balance Sweet potato and venison with him, per vet recommendation. Also, I was able to give my dog (puggle, ~ 40lbs) one Zyrtec tab daily to keep the allergies at bay. I stopped with that eventually, but the food change kept his ears infection- free until his seasonal allergies in August!

What is the best puppy dog food for a yellow lab with a sensative stomach?
- Our 9 1/2 year old black lab has had a sensitive stomach for years. We finally had food/allergy testing performed and we found out that he's allergic to many traditional dog food ingredients including beef, chicken, fish, wheat, etc. He's been on the Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Venison (or Bison) for several months now and seems to be doing really well!! It's well worth the money.

what is lid dog food and why is it good for dogs
- LID means Limited Ingredients Dog food. This food is so great because it is high in protein and less processed filler. Stay away from Salmon flavored ones unless you don't mind gas! lol. I feed the ones with the grain free gold seal on it. This product really lets your dog have an awesome shiny coat, shiny eyes and because of its ingredients, your dog will defecate less because there isn't filler in the food. Don't free feed and stick to guidelines of amount to eat. for my 50lb dog and 65 lb dog I feed a level green bean can worth of food twice a day.

What would be the best dog food?
- Try Halo Salmon or Natural Balance Fish or Natural Balance Venison. Be sure your dog does not have fleas as this will heighten allergic responses.
