Nice small coop

Very easy to assemble, only had difficulty with one edging piece between the coop and the nesting box. The coop could be improved if the roof was also hinged for easy cleaning OR in one piece to be lifted off. To clean, you have to remove the three roof tiles. The floor has four corner holes, easy for mice to access, good if you are going to raise your coop up off the ground. I blocked mine with four 1/2 bricks, easy fix.

There were no reviews when I bought the coop but I decided to take a gamble and get it anyway because of the sale price. I wasn't sure what to expect.
When it was delivered in 30+ pieces I was more than a little intimidating but it was so easy to put together. Every piece is numbered and the directions were very easy to read.
After seeing it put together I fell in love. It's the perfect size for my rooster Rudy. Hopefully I'll get a couple girlfriends for him soon.

How big is it?
- The exterior dimensions are as follows: Side-to-Side: 52.8"; Front-to-Back: 28.9"; Height: 28.5" The Side-to-Side measurement includes the nesting box. The interior dimensions, not including the nesting box are: Side-to-Side: 34.0"; Front-to-Back: 22.0"; Height: 25.0" .

what is inside?
- The nesting box is attached to the left side (as you are looking at the barn). There is a single roosting bar inside that can be moved around the inside of the barn.

What kind of latching mechanisms are there?
- We use chrome plated barrel locks on the exterior doors accessible when the pen is attached and screws to secure the cover to the nesting box.

what is the floor made of in the New Age Pet ecoChoice Fontana Chicken Barn and how do you clean out the barn
- The floor is made out of our ecoFLEX composite which does not absorb anything from the chicken droppings and the corners are cut at a 45 degree angle to allow for air flow and drainage. Cleaning is very easy. You remove 2 screws and then the roof panels can be removed. Since ecoFLEX doesn't absorb anything cleaning is as simple as rinsing with a hose. Occasional broader cleaning can be accomplished by adding a mild detergent to water and washing with a sponge or cloth and then rinsing. Let us know if you need any additional information.
