We adopted a large boxer/bull mix for which we needed an entry door. This was a good choice and a good investment.

Had been using a flexible vinyl pet door for 10+ years and wanted something that would be less drafty. This product fits the bill (a lowered heating bill to be precise). I was a bit concerned that, because the door is heavier and more rigid/solid than the previous one, my senior dog (who has some dementia) would have difficulty with it. It did take him a few days (and plenty of treats) to get used to it but now he uses it day and night by himself. I also like that the screws to assemble the door are made of metal and not plastic.

I like everything about the pet door except that the screws provided are not long enough to use on a 1 3/4" door, the maximum size indicated in the ad and on the packaging and require buying additional screws of adequate length. Considering the premium price of the door, proper installation hardware should be included.

Installed the door 2 weeks ago. Have a large, medium and small (23 lb) dog. The big guy is using it regularly--the other two have been "suspicious" of it, but with encouragement will go through. It's just different than their previous door. I expect they will be using it a lot soon, and I like it because it is sturdy, stable, and keeps the wind out. Easy for dogs/cats to see through the panels, as well. Oh...one of our three cats goes through it constantly, day & night. Gonna have to watch leaving it uncovered at night--he brought 3 dead mice through it last night and delivered them to me :-)

Door was easy to install. Seems to be well built though time will tell. Keeps weather and bugs out. Dogs easily learned to use door even though the three piece door flap is a bit on the heavy side (it's thick, double paned plastic with good insulating qualities). I would definitely recommed.

My ChowChow mixes, Mickey and Bear, love this! It was very easy to install, easy to clean (incase of muddy paws), and looks great in my decor. I have to admit, the plastic could be a little more sturdier, because Mickey happens to still be a puppy and has taken a little nibble or two at it; he seemed to get through most of it pretty easy. Nothing a plotted plant right beside the part he chewed can't fix! :) Awesome product, best doggie door ever!
