The hummingbirds like this brand. Will buy again, because they are a bit picky.

Yes, I recommend this product.

If I could give it zero paws I would. I generally make my own sugar-water mix for the hummingbirds, but since my mix seems to spoil in 2-3 days, and I was going on a weeklong vacation, I thought I might try this stuff with preservatives so the little guys would have food while I am gone. The hummingbirds will have nothing to do with it. One of my four feeders has six stations, and I watched the bird perch at one station, take a sip, hop to the next one, take a sip, and then did the same at each of the other stations before flying off......and not coming back. They have checked out the other feeders, but once they realize that each feeder is filled with the same foul liquid, they fly off. Generally I see the birds here at least 10-15 times a day to feed; and they stay for minutes; not seconds. After switching to this red liquid, I saw them maybe once a day, only staying long enough to see if I had gone back to the sugar-water (I left it for about a week). Within 7 hours of switching back to plain sugar-water, the birds were back, feeding a couple times (for a couple of minutes) before dusk. It only took 2 days before they were returning with their normal frequency.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought Petco ready to pour Hummingbird Nectar after I ran out of dry mix from Perky Pets. My hummingbirds would not feed on it at all. Then I went back to just sugar and water and boiling it and they came back. Perhaps they put too much sodium benzoate in the mixture and the hummingbirds can sense it. Whatever the reason, my hummingbirds just do not want Petco Hummingbird Nectar.

No, I do not recommend this product.
