I initially purchased a different brand of kennel and my 6 lb Chihuahua could easily work the door open. No such luck with this one! She can't escape and tear things up in the middle of the night and the locking mechanism isn't overly difficult for me to work, but you definitely need opposable thumbs to work it! The tray slides easily out of the bottom for cleaning and the two doors keep your options open with regards to placement of the kennel.

A friend told me to try an open kennel so I bought this one. Great price and my dog loves it. She actually prefers to sleep in this kennel now rather than in the bed. **Very easy set-up!

There are several brands and sizes of crates out there, and they're all pretty much the same in quality-- it doesn't take much to have a crate that works. This one is inexpensive and works just great.

Good quality product. Easily collapses and stores. Just make sure try your dog out with the different sizes of crates in a store. I wouldnt go off of the recommended weight size.

This kennel was rated for dogs up to 125 lbs. Unfortunately this was far from the case. It should be rated for dogs up to 90 lbs. Our 8 month old GSD was 85 lbs. and it left no room for growth. Make sure when purchasing a kennel to go off of dimensions rather than the manufacturer's weight rating scale.
