Locking is not effective

As an access point installed in an interior door, it works well enough. The locking mechanism on 1 corner of the door is not enough. I have 1 male and 1 female cat and they were able to knock the cat door off of its hinges by pushing with their heads after the lock was engaged. The hinge is located at the top of the door and secured by a hinge cover. The cover is attached by snapping 2 small plastic tabs into the door body. Those tabs have been snapped off by the cats constant breaking through and the door is useless for containing the cats now

No, I do not recommend this product.

Not for strong cats...

This door worked fine the first month and the 4 way lock option seemed nice and secure... However one of cats has discovered that even when 'fully' closed he can force and flex the clear door sufficiently to bend it over the locks! Escape time less than 20 seconds. Other review sites show this to be a not uncommon problem. This flap needs more solid construction and perhaps a lock on both sides?

No, I do not recommend this product.

Keeping the raccoon & stray out... and my cat

This door is proving to work a little too well. We were having problems with a racoon & a stray coming into the house through the old (non-locking) cat door - which my cat used frequently. So far this locking cat door is keeping the racoon & stray out... as well as my cat. It took some training to get Oscar to understand that the resistance of the magnetic flap is not because he's locked in/out. So far he'll go out, but won't come back in. It appears that he dislikes how the magnet on his collar sticks to the bottom of the tunnel when he puts his nose to the door to come in. So... just a word of caution if you have a timid or finicky cat. Maybe they would be better off with the infrared version.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Door okay; magnetic keys defective

I would not recommend this door as it only works when the cat is wearing the magnetic key and two magnetic keys have failed in four months. They break and there is no way to attach them to the cat's collar. I wrote to the company and their response was I need to order more replacement keys.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This cat door is wonderful. My cats go in and out all day and Im able to lock it when the weather is bad. I never had any problems with the lock or door itself either.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Unlike the rubber type pet door/flap, this has a clear door, and is a non-flixible material. It does not "flap" in the wind, and my cat likes being to see instead of enter blind.

Yes, I recommend this product.
