Fence is easy to set up and dog responds well...awesome and no digging.

We have had this product for five months now and our dog was about 9 months old when I began training. She is a large breed with a thick bulky neck. She is also a very intelligent dog, (which also makes her slightly rebellious and stubborn at times). Having said that, I was worried that the shock would not affect her. I followed the training pretty much to a T, making sure she really understood her boundaries, etc. I believe this is key to the wireless fence being a success, in part because you actually train them (with the collar in warning beep mode only) to go back if they cross the boundary. You are right there with them and actually correcting them, so that when they have the collar in actual shock mode and cross the boundary, they will remember to go back rather that continue further out of bounds. All it took was one shock and she has never even tried to go out of bounds again! In the 5 months we have been using it, we are on our 3rd set of batteries. The only thing I don't like is the huge box transmitter. It's big and ugly.

We have owned the system for 2 years, originally purchased here. System works great except that we are replacing our third transmitter at a reduced cost of $60.00 from manufacturer. Quite unreliabel and leaves our pet unsecured, now for a second time. We are shopping for alternate systems.

I purchased this "fence" several months ago for our hyper little Jack Russell Terrier who regularly got off our un-fenced property to scout the neighborhood many blocks away. This system taught him very quickly (within 2 weeks tops) what his boundaries were and now he literally stops in his tracks when he nears the boundary. This was with very little effort on our part. Just some gentle reminders and walking our dog near the boundary and allowing him to hear the warning beep. (he did have to feel the shock before he really got the point, but then that's all it took) We only need to replace the batteries every 2-3 months, and that is WELL worth the cost, considering our alternative is thousands of dollars for a fence. This was worth the money, I would definitely recommend it!

I've got both a Golden Retriever and a Yellow Lab. The Golden loved to run off the property and was uncontrollable until I got the wireless system. The 90' range or so works well with the controller in an outside shed. The original wireless collar continues to work though the add on for the lab failed in about 6 months. Overall a great system. Everyone who comes by thinks my roaming dogs are so well behaved! Little do they know that they've learned to not cross that wireless line. Its been a lifesaver for the dogs too, since roaming when you cannot fence your property can simplly mean major problems for them. Great system.
