The cage has drawbacks. My ferret does not like the wire floors - it needs to be lined. The ramps are flimsy and fall off. You will need to secure the ramps. Ramps in the middle are not convenient for the ferret. The pros are: cage is sturdy, the ferret cannot get out.

This is a great cage for my two ferrets! Did not even need the directions because it was pretty self explanatory to put together, however, if it wasn't common sense for me to put things together, the directions would not have been helpful. The ramps were way too slippery for my ferrets but I just put hot glue for grips on the notches and it worked perfectly. This is just as good as the competing product and for way cheaper.

Great cage. Good quality and very sturdy! Chinchillas really love the cage. Love that you can divide it into two cages. Only complaint is that it was time consuming and semi difficult to assemble. But an overall fantastic cage for the price.

I have three male rats, and I just upgraded them to this cage. It was difficult to figure out, for the two of us assembling, which piece was which out of the box, but once that was done , assembly was a breeze (if you have another one of those little alan wrenches on hand it makes it go faster). Pros: Assembled it looks sleek and feels sturdy. I can fit in a lot more toys than my old cage which everyone loves. As you can see from the picture, IIve added a whole other floor with a large hammock. I love that its easy clean, with the wire floor over the bedding, instead of my old cage where i had to take everyone out to clean it. Perfect size for my three boys. Cons: The ramps are a bit slippery for my little guys, and the cage floor bar spacing is a bit far apart on their little feet. Since the bars are hollow, knocking sounds echo a lot. Left with quite a bit of packaging when done.

I purchased this cage thinking that it would be great for sugar gliders. I have two 10 week old babies. The directions were faded and barely legable and this cage took me 4 hours to put together because nothing is labeled. Then I moved my sugar gliders to their new home and guess what...they slipped right between the bars...needless to say, Petco is getting their cage back.

This product came with the tray cracked and broken, the wires where they were soldered to the cage came apart and the solder didn't hold. The instructions came on a 'ditto" sheet that the print was too light to read and even if you tried to decifer it, the instructions were very shotty. I didn't notice the defects until after spending 2 hours trying to begin putting the cage together. The pieces don't have enough drilled holes in required places. The screws were larger than the thread holes. I had to take the whole thing apart and return before I even finished trying to put it together. The quality is much frailer than appears on website. What a waste of an entire night of my time!

I purchased this cage for my three rats. I had to get a cage that is chew proof and doesn't absorb urine. My rats love this cage. It is made entirety of steel and feels like a two story house. It has two floors and comes with three ramps and two platforms. The middle platform that seperates both floors is made of steel bars and the bottom floor can be pulled out which makes for easy cleaning. Best of all, this cage is very easy to assemble. I had no trouble putting it together. It even comes with a free hammock. My rats love this cage as it's spacious and provides plenty of space to move around. I would recommend this cage for anyone who owns ferrets, chinchillas and rats. It can even be used for foster kittens. If you own ferrets, chinchillas or even rats, then this is the right cage for you and your furry friends.

Put my two chinchillas in here and they love it going from one landing to the next! Highly recommend! Well worth the money and super easy to put together.
