Incredible Gravel

This gravel is specific to cichlid's in that it helps maintain the PH with the rock and shell assortment in the mix. All natural w/o any paints, dies or epoxies. The gravel is a bit more brown than white. You cannot buy this in the store as your only option is to order it but you will not find a better gravel anywhere and with Petco's awesome free shipping policy you can't go wrong. It took a week to get it but it takes around 3 weeks to cycle the tank with new gravel anyways. Don't be in a hurry to start your tank by buying gravel that has far less quality than this for the same or higher price. 20 pound bag was around $12.00 if you catch it on sale but even at full price it is a great product.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Is Pure Water Pebbles African Cichlid Substrates good for angelfish?

Are these okay for Betta fish?

    1. Slate is a pretty much inert rock and as such should be safe for a Betta. Seeing as these are tumbled there are also no sharp edges for a fish to injure themselves on.
