I started my cat on this food at 8 years + and she took to it right away. She had begun to stumble and scrabble to get up her five-foot tall cat tree but within a week she was able to leap easily onto it. All arthritis symptoms seem to have disappeared.

My 12 year old cat loves this food. I've tried feeding him Blue Buffalo and Natural Balance, but he didn't like them much. I dislike that this food has grains (Hence the 4 star and not 5), but I would rather have my cat eating his recommended serving size, versus eating sometimes only 1/2 of the serving of the more expensive/"healthier" brands. :)

Before trying PurinaOne, my cat was on what I believe was the cheapest food out there. After I adopter her I switched her to this much more nutritious food. I would recommend gradually switching from one type of food to another, since her digestive system had to adjust. Since the adjustment she has been happier and healthier than ever!

she threw up 3 times, first time in years...going back to Indoor cat food, she did fine on it, was just trying this to get away from corn so much, & she is older

The Senior Protection formula turned out to be the best food for our Libbie. As she aged, her stomach and digestion became very finicky, and she couldn't tolerate any regular cat foods or treats without vomiting. Now she eats the Senior Protection, and has not been sick. It is easiest for me to buy the food at Petco, as our local stores did not always carry it.
