Does as expected - fast and simple - no messy buckets of water to haul. Just wished there were a 'drain switch' to force the water from the tubing when finished.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I have a 400 gallon aquarium. That being said trying to do water changes on my beast would be impossible without this tool! I have the brass fitting connected to my kitchen sink and I just connect the hose to it and let a rip and drain the tank and fill within minutes! BEST decision I ever made!

Yes, I recommend this product.

I used to lug 10-15 five gallon buckets a week all over the house to do my weekly WC. It killed my back and got water all over the house. Not anymore. I ordered the python and it makes changing water so easy I am thinking of doing water changes twice a week now. Buy it, It is so worth the money.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

If 25 ft is too short, and 50 ft is way too long, can I cut the 50 ft to length and then reattach the adaptor/connector?

  1. Yes, Yes you can. I am preparing to purchase new hose for mine. It is extremely easy to do.

What size would do best for a 75 gallon aquarium?

  1. Thank you for your question. In this circumstance the 50' would probably be the safest best as more than likely the hose will drape to the ground and then back up to the counter/aquarium level and you will want slack so the 25' would more than likely not be the best option.

diameter of hose

  1. Can't see where the diameter of the tubing would be a concern as 'connectors' are provided (or available from DrF&S and Python) to accommodate most if not all faucets; however, that being said, I would guess the diameter is no more than 1.25" total.

Python No Spill Clean 'N Fill

  1. The force at which the Python both fills and drains your tank is dependent upon how strong you open your cold water tap (drain) and both hot and cold water taps (fill), adjusted of course to proper temperature. I don't believe any sand would be sucked totally up and out unless you are in a hurry and have your water pressure too high. Also, there is a shut-off valve at arm's reach should you see sand is getting too close and might be sucked out. If that's the case, simply adjust your cold water tap to create less suction.

Does the Python work with sand?

  1. Yes. I put a bucket underneath the faucet to catch any sand that does get sucked out, then I can return it to the aquarium.

Does it clean gravel very well? Does it take gravel in it?

  1. I personally had absolutely no problem with this grabbing any gravel while suctioning and I could see debris being taken up in the tube so I think it did a great job.

chlorinated water

  1. It doesnt really make a difference; noticable atleast. Scientificaly I'm sure its not as ideal, but i havent had any problems (along with countless others.) Just add Conditioner in while your filling.

Water conditioner?

  1. You can add the water conditioner directly into the stream of fresh water as it's flowing into the tank.

How do you use this to fill a salt water tank???

  1. My guess would be you would need to purchase a submersible pump and attach it to the Python to 'pump' the salt water out of your reservoir (bucket/barrel). This is only my assumption as these work off water pressure - in/out.

I lost the directions, on how to get it hooked up

  1. Contact Python Products directly at 414-355-7000 M - F and we will send you a new set.
