I can't say if this works, as I couldn't get my dog to open his mouth. One dropper full is required for every 10 pounds. Our dog is 35 pounds, which would require 3 and one-half droppers. I couldn't even get one in. It is supposed to be put directly in the dog's mouth, but since that didn't work, I tried putting it in his water. He sniffed and walked away.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I have a rat terrier/chihuahua mix who tends to have a personality leaning towards the anxious side, which we manage with regular exercise. However, she is really scared of thunderstorms and exercise isn't enough. We give her this, and it works every time! She goes from shaking and even the occasional whine to calm and quiet within a half hour of giving it to her. It's great!

Yes, I recommend this product.

This stuff is amazing! I have a 17 lb Lhasa apso that started having panic attacks (caused my loud noises (thunder and fire works mainly) along with social anxiety being around lots of people or other dogs) after being attacked by a large dog 2 years ago. This stuff works great. For her weight she takes a dropper and a half and she loves it! Doesn't fight me at all and actually sits and waits for it as soon as I take it out of the cupboard. Does not cause her to act strange or "drugged" up like Benedryl does. It is always better to plan ahead when giving the medication if possible (for example, if you know you are going to be going out, having company, or a thunderstorm is coming) but it does also seem to work well for her if I give it to her as soon as a stressful situation starts to occur (like the neighbors start lighting fireworks) I recommend this product to everyone, definitely worth every penny!

Yes, I recommend this product.

We gave Richard's Organics Pet Calm to our Pet Felix. It calmed him down almost immediately and it didn't over sedate him.

I was really hoping this would work for my Pugs separation anxiety but sadly it did not. I gave him 3 vials worth and he acted exactly the same! Oh well I guess I should just get him to the vet for medication.

This product has a gradual effect on my rescued Silky Terrier. Gave him loose bowels, maybe I will need to ease up on the dosage. His energy is through the roof. It helps!

I tried this calming herb for grooming purposes. I tried several times to get a feel for how it affected him. He weighs 14lbs. So I gave him 1ml dropper the first time per the instructions. No affect. Second time I tried 2 ml , no affect. I tried 3 droppers no affect, then went to 4. I didn't want give him any more than that. I gave it time to take affect. He is just to hyper of a personality. Possibly the type of breed he is. don't recommend for this type of personality. I tried!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Will this help the hot spots my cat licks down to the skin?

    can a kitten use this?

    1. I wouldn't give this dog chew to a kitten, or even a cat. It's a product made especially for dogs. Greenies makes dental chews for cats.

Can this product be given to cats?

    1. NO! Absolutely not. Did you read the ingredients? It shouldn't be given to dogs either. If you are having a behavioral problem, please consult your vet.

    Richard's Organics Pet Calm

I have an 8 week old lab at home and in the mornings when I leave for work he whines and barks, maybe from separation anxiety. Will this help him?

      1. Did not help our adult dog at all.

Do you post to australia ?

Has anyone had an issue with allergies to the product or the smell causing an adverse reaction??

        1. Our dog, Libby, has not had any sort of allergic reaction to Pet Calm. I don't feel that this product smells bad. It is an herbal remedy.

richards organic pet calm, can it be put into my cats water dish? If so how many drops?

        1. I think it would be safe to do so, but I don't think it would be very effective. Although I haven't had the need to use it for my cat, I've used it for years for my dog when a thunderstorm comes around. Although the package directions says to administer it directly into the pet's mouth, I mix it with a little canned food so she will eat it herself. She eats the whole amount so I know she's getting the full dose. If I were to administer it to my cat, I'd probably mix it with his canned food as well.

        Smell

        1. I thought the smell was foul. Bit vinegar and a STRONG medicinal smell. I was very surprised my dog liked/drank it. I did mix it on his food for one use .... don't know if you can really do that though (directions are vague).

Does the Richards Organics Pet Calm have an expiration date?

        1. My bottle does have an expiration date on it: 2015. I bought it last year (2013) so even if you can't find an expiration date on yours, I'd just go ahead and get a new one just to be on the safe side.
