Questions
can this liquid fertilizer be used in a 2500 gal water garden?
- AudiR8, Thank you for your question. We sincerely apologize the Seachem Flourish is recommended to be used in an aquarium setting and we can not recommend using this in a larger body of water. We currently offer the Aquascape® Pond Plant Fertilizer 13-13-13, which can be used for pond plants. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=5163+5178+33514&pcatid=33514

Using Fluorite as substratum. Need Flourish?
- Thank you for your inquiry. This product will not cause any problems if used as directed and is entirely personal preference on whether or not it should be used in your tank, it is not a necessary product.

When using the liquid fertilizers
- Don't turn off the filters for plant food. The plants will use it for weeks after you dose the tank. I dose once a week on Saturday.

Flourish has Chlorine in it?
- twistermama, Thank you for your question. The manufacturer has provided us with the following information in regards to chlorine in Flourish: “Chlorine is an essential element of plant nutrition. Flourish was designed specifically for use in planted tanks containing fish and/or invertebrates. Therefore, when used as directed, the very trace amounts of chlorine in the product will be utilized immediately by the plants and will not be available to harm the animals in the tank.” mja

Is this safe for tanks with shrimp?
- I have 3 tanks (a 5, 10 and 20 gallon) with blue pearls and orange sakura shrimp and they have no issues with Flourish comprehensive. All are alive and population is booming exponentially. I use it in my larger tank (75 gallons) which has ghost, amano and bamboo shrimp and they have no issues either. In my experience it is safe to use with small shrimp.

UV Sterilizer with this...
- I have a 29 gallon tank with a 9 watt uv. I use it with a uv. It should be fine. I like to dump a llttle Flourish over each of my 2 plants rather than near a filver or uv though. So they can get some of the nutrients before they pass through the filter and uv. That might be a useful tatic to try out. But the uv should not effect Florish's effectiveness that much at all. Hope this was useful.

some of my anubius leaves are showing signs of yellow can I use flourish in my fancy goldfish tank?
- Anubias tend to do better in tropical tanks or at least at 68 degrees fairenheit. Your goldfish, depending on the size of your tank and number of goldfish, should provide enough nutrients for the anubias so adding flourish may not help. I would instead recommend an iron supplement, if you aren't already using one.

Flourish Liquid Plant Packs needs
- Thank you for your question. While we do not feel that these products will need to be used at the same time, you certainly can use them together if you choose. We suggest using 1/2 dosages as using the full dosages may cause harmful algae blooms. njc
