Stability will rapidly and safely establish the aquarium biofilter in freshwater and marine systems, thereby preventing the #1 cause of fish death: new tank syndrome. Stability is formulated specifically for the aquarium and contains a synergistic blend of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria which facilitate the breakdown of waste organics, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. The bacteria employed by Stability are non-sulfur fixing and will not produce toxic hydrogen sulfide. Stability is completely harmless to all aquatic organisms as well as aquatic plants, thus there is no danger of over use. Stability is the culmination of nearly a decade of research and development and represents the current state of the art in natural biological management. The bacteria used in competing products are inherently unstable. The conditions necessary for their growth and development fall into a very narrow range of temperatures, pH, organic loads, etc.

Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 40 L (10 gallons) on the first day with a new aquarium. Then use 1 capful for each 80 L (20 gallons) daily for 7 days. Fish and other aquatic species may be introduced at any time as long as dosage is maintained for 7 days. For optimum biofilter performance use 1 capful for each 40 L (10 gallons) once a month or with each water change and whenever introducing new fish or whenever medicating an aquarium.

my reef tanks are self sustainable. i dont change water unless i drop something or have some sort of contamination. Instead i heavily rely on pods and other biological means. Sometimes bio boost is necessary due to skimmer and UV uses as well as media/filter changes. Since i dose a small amount of stability once a week, instability is gone. Because of this successful use of stability, i started with pristine. Although i am not sure about effectiveness of prestine, i am sure it doesnt do a harm. i sort of trust the maker of stability because i clearly saw effectiveness.

I use Seachem Stability every water change I do on my seahorse tank, which is 3Xs a week. Seahorses are very vulnerable to pathogenic bacteria and I use Seachem Stability as one way to combat dangerous bacterias. It helps eliminate or reduce detritus and also outcompetes pathogens thus reducing the chances that they will get a foothold in the tank. It has become of even more importance with the non availability of the probiotic I also used to use.

I was attempting to do a fish-in cycle using Tetra Safe Start but was not getting the results I wanted. Two weeks after setting up my tank, I was still seeing Ammonia and just starting to see Nitrites. Two days after starting to dose the tank with Seachem Stability, I began to see Nitrates. Four days into using Stability, Ammonia and Nitrites had dropped to zero. I finished the week of daily doses and the tank had fully cycled. I continued to use a half dose of Stability each time I added fish to the tank, and I have now fully stocked my aquarium without ever seeing an Ammonia spike. Seachem claims Stability is more durable than other bacteria additives because the bacteria are in their spore state. I don't know how true this is, but the additive survived the summer heat during shipping and worked very well. I highly recommend it.
