I was noticing tapeworm segments in 6 my week old pup's stool so I gave him one of these. Within hours he passed an adult roundworm. I will follow up with a second dose to make sure I get all of these nasty things out of my pup. I am very impressed, especially for the price.

My puppy woke in the middle of the night crying and scooting her butt in her crate, and upon closer inspection, she had tapeworm segments on her tail. I was skeptical of an over the counter de-wormer, but I chose this as I wanted to make her feel better as soon as possible. I gave her 1 tablet at about 2:00 in the afternoon, fed her some food, and she took a nap. After her nap, she passed a large tapeworm outside, and then passed a few segments later that night. She hasn't had any signs since. Great product!

We rescued a nine month old German Shepard and Black Mouth Cur mix from the shelter and after a few days we noticed a few tapeworms in his stool. I was worried because with our first rescue dog we paid a lot of money to see the vet for this. I looked this product up online and this was not only a great price but it worked IMMEDIATELY. Saved us from paying the vet for an appointment, checking a stool sample, and for antibiotics. Sooooo worth it and one of the only brands that also kills tapeworms.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Did its job... With side effects

I got a 3 month old pup from a friend. She had all her shots as of 3 days before and was spayed. The vet apparently told my friend she had worms so he bought her this product then gave her a capsle then gave her to me. I'm 90% sure the worms are gone, but she had bad diarrhea for a couple days. Not one solid "potty break" Be prepared to constantly take your dog out if you don't want a mess. I just fasted her for 12 hrs (with water) then gave her rice with a little bit of chicken for 2 days. Gave her a 1/2 tsp of Pepto Bismol every 3-4 hrs. She is fine now. I would recommend only to someone who is willing to deal with these side effects. Though it really does do it's job.

Yes, I recommend this product.

How often should I treat a dog?

    1. First of all....separate your dogs to prevent further infestation. Now, I would find out exactly what kind of worms your dog has. I have heard of worms entering through a dogs nails. In his eye? No...Straight to the vet, the test is simple, fast and inexpensive. Treat the dog immediately. I would want a vet to tell me why their is a worm in my dogs eye! Good luck with Twister! .

How often do I give my dog the Sentryhc wormxplus?

To deworm a 60 lb dog of hook worm, I will give dog 2 pills...do I need to do this ONLY ONCE...or do I need to continue two pills per day for how long

      1. If your dog has hookworms, pass on self doctoring for this one and go straight to the vet! These pesky parasites literally "hook" into your dogs lining to feed off and rob him of all his nutrients. You need to have him tested and there could be other types of worms also present. The test is fast and inexpensive. You don't want to buy medicine for xyz if your dog has ABC, the vet is your best friend at this time.Good luck...

are any of these de wormers sold in the store or online only?

      1. The Sentry HC Worm X Plus for dogs 6-25 lbs. goes off the shelf about as fast as it comes in...Call your store and ask if it is in stock before you go...it may save you a wasted trip.

is worm x effective on whipworms?

can worm x plus be used on cats?

        1. No!!! and No!!! Cats have a highly different immune system from dogs, and you have to use a product developed for cats. However, WormX used to have a tablet for cats as well, so I'd do some research.

how far apart should the doses be given?

        1. It will depend on your dog's immune system, and how often and where you allow them to travel outside your home. In my case, I have large dogs used to running around a great deal outside, and the K9 Advantix II was effective for almost 6 weeks. Once I noticed any significant scratching, I re-treated.

on worm x plus what is the dose for a dog

        1. All of the wormers are dependent upon the weight of your dog, and most recommend 3 treatments. If you check the packages available, you will see that they have sizes for small, medium and large dogs, and it is important for the product to work that you don't skimp. Therefore, at least for the first time, get your dog weighed, and get help determining which types of worms you dog has (no sense in over-medicating) then you will be able to select the correct product and package.
