We bought this product for our 36 in and 24 toes polydactyl cat several years ago. He loves it. He uses it multiple times a day. He loves to run and jump on top of it and then sit there like an idol, He also likes the fact that sitting there makes him almost as tall as me. He likes to wash my face. He stands on the top with his paws on my shoulders. We also have a much smaller cat who is bulit like a rag doll with short legs. She also loves it. She not only scratches on it but climbs it and goes around it like a squirrel on a tree. They have finally worn it out after daily use and 5 yeas. It is durable. It will rock back and forth when they hit it hard but it has not fallen over.

This is the second time we've ordered this scratching post. Even tho we have three cats, it took years for them to wear the first one out! Our cats love to be able to really stretch out, long and tall, when they use this post. And we don't hesitate to keep it right in our kitchen, as the design has clean, simple lines. Our cats love this product, they use it, and it keeps our furniture unscathed!

great for cats protects any furniture from being messed up

I had to buy another scratcher because the cats wore out one of the two I originally purchased. I also bought the padded "shelves" for the tops and Tia and Talia lay on them constantly. The scratchers are very well built and sturdy with no possibility of teetering or falling over. I'm extremely happy with them.

A very sturdy, easy to assemble scratching post. My cats love it. I had this product already and when a old post I had in room bit the dust, I knew I wanted this one to replace it. It also lasts a long time, well built.

My cats love it, they can stretch their whole body. it is little wobbly, overall it is worth it.

Nice scratching post. Thick and heavy. Bought this to deter my cats from scratching on the door trim. So far they use it sparingly but have not bothered the wood trim. Wish the top was larger (hence not 5 stars) as my cats can't really use it for a perch or nap as it's not wide enough.

After trying so many various cat scratching posts and similar items I was ready to give up that anything would really work for my cat. After reading reviews for this scratching post I thought I should try again, especially knowing my cat has been drawn to sisal rope products in the past. I cannot believe how much my cat likes this post! He no longer even thinks about scratching my furniture and seems happy to use his new post. Hurray, it's amazing! I think it is about this post being so tall and he likes to stretch into his scratching routine.
