This bottle is HUGE compared to my 3.38 oz and it is worth the price difference. I like how the cap helps me determine how much liquid to use for every water change on my 10 gallon tank. I have had no issues with it and my betta fish is happy.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Aqua Safe Plus is very simple to use and relatively inexpensive. We use city water so it was important to get something that protected the fish without stressing them. The tank I have is large, 125 gallon so cost was important too. I have beeb using Aqua Safe for better than 10 years and have never been disappointed.

Yes, I recommend this product.

can you use this product for a betta fish???

Does the aquasafe aquarium treatment expire and breakdown at the molecular level?

How many drops of this should be added for a gallon of water?

      1. It says a teaspoon for every 10 gallons of water. I use 5 gallon buckets because my tank (125 Gallon) is larger so I just shake the bottle and add an estimated 1/2 teaspoon to each bucket as I refill the displaced water.

Does this water conditioner remove copper?

      1. It says heavy metals so one would assume it would remove copper. Some of the older homes still have copper piping in them which would seep into the water so one would guess copper is covered by the "heavy metals" tag. Probably need to go to Tetra with this question. I have copper piping in my home and have never had a problem.

Does this increase the pH of the water?

      1. No - it doesn't adjust PH if properly administered.

will this cause a build-up within the tank over time?

      1. You are safe to use it as indicated. Use 1/2 teaspoon for 5 gallons of water.

Does this remove the fluoride from tap water?

      1. Yes it does.

will aquasafe water conditioner harm a dog

If I use this, do I need the water clarifier or does it take care of unclouding the water as well?

        1. You will always need a water conditioner for your aquarium to neutralize chlorine, chloramines, and heavy metals present in tap water that can be harmful to fish. But they don't help with cloudy water. Is common cloudy water when your aquarium is in a cycle process. An aquarium normally will cycle in 6 weeks; Ammonia and Nitrites need to be 0 ppm and Nitrates 5+ ppm when the cycle is complete. Nitrate levels between 5 to 25ppm is healthy. The ones you need to worried about is ammonia and nitrite. -Best for ammonia control is: Microbe-Lift Ammonia Remover for Salt and Fresh Water Tanks. -Best for nitrite and nitrate control is: Microbe-Lift Nite Out II for Home Aquariums. -Best product to keep a transparent water (no cloudy) in your aquarium: Seachem Purigen 100ml ( Sell online only). Helps controls ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates; just put the bag behind your filter.

how do I figure amt of gallons in my tank

        1. a cubic foot is 7.48 gallons. a cubic foot is 1728 cubic inches therefore depth in inches times height in inches times width in inches divided by 1728 times 7.48 will give the number of gallons in the tank ex ((12" X 12" X 36") / 1728) X 7.48 = 22.44 gallons Note this is full to the top and doesn't account for displacement caused by gravel, ornaments or other stuff.
