Tetra Pond Water Garden Pump is designed to power small waterfalls, filters and fountain heads in decorative backyard water gardens. Waterfalls and fountains add beauty and elegance to outdoor spaces and can mitigate bothersome noises in your pond. Tetra Pond Water Garden Pump includes two adapters to fit tubing measuring 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch in diameter. This magnetic-drive water garden pump comes with a 3-year limited warranty (see product packaging for details). It is tailored to fit a variety of pond sizes and pumping heights. UL Listed. Pumps up to 550 GPH.When choosing a statuary pump, make sure the size is slightly more powerful than you need to compensate for some loss due to friction in tubing and filtration components. A larger pump will also allow you to add water features in the future, if desired.

We installed this in our small Koi Pond and have so far been happy with the results. It seems to move water nicely around the 8 foot diameter, 3 foot deep pond. Our waterfall sounds great and has nice visual features. Recommend it.

Had to buy an adapter to connect tubing from pump to outside filter tubing. Tube connector too wide(1 14") only needed 1/2" outlet to connect tubing. Good pump to use for waterfall feature

This is the third Tetra pond pump that I have purchased. I am happy to report that all three are still running perfectly in my 1600 gal. outside pond. I use these pumps for aeration, a waterfall, and filtration along with box filters. These pumps keep the pond clean, add water features, and have helped make a happy home for my fish as well. The oldest pump - three years old - has been in continuous service in the pond since it was installed - winter and summer for filtration/aeration. Not bad for a reasonably priced pump. On one occasion, I created an issue by damaging the impeller myself. The Tetra folks service department sent replacements parts right away and without the third degree. Happy with the price, the manufacturer, the quality of the product, the service received, and with Foster and Smith. What could be a better value than complete satisfaction?

Doing great! Got it for my small turtles til they are big enough for the pond. Made a small waterfall filter in a 30 gallon tank. Love it. This brand has been the most reliable I've found.

what pump protector should i use with this? my pond gets alot of debri from trees and bird droppings.

You can create your own using a bucket place pump inside the bucket make sure the bucket is large enough for intake of water then cover the top with screen you still need to clean the screen periodically but the pump will last longer. This pump does take a lot of abuse.
