This a probably great entertainment for smaller dogs--like a beagle. Too small for my 50 lb big guy--I would have to bolt it to a sturdy surface and still his paws/nose would be clumsy. Wish it was made in a larger size. It does appear to be quite sturdy for the size it is, but only about 12 inches high. I am returning it.

I got this for an activity for my dog (6 month old Box mix) while I was at work. It took about a week before she got it figured out, but she loves it. When we visited my sister, she has a 9 year-old schnoodle who loved it when my dog would flip it and she would get them before my dog. So it is popular with multiple dogs. Although you wouldn't think it to look at it, it is durable. Has a weighted base.

I am always looking for a new toy to challenge my Miniature Schnauzer, and this one is great! She eats VERY fast, so we put her dry food in this to make her eat more slowly. She is too smart for her own good, so when we put her food in a new toy she pretends that she can't figure it out in hopes that someone will feel sorry for her and get it out for her, but once everyone leaves the room she will sneak over to the toy and get all of the food out fairly easily. I don't mind that she can figure it out quickly because she will stop every time a piece falls out to eat it and actually CHEW it instead of swallowing it whole like if we put her food in her food dish. SO, if you are wanting something that will keep your intelligent dog occupied for a long, long time, this might not be great for you, but if you are just wanting to keep your dog from inhaling their dry food in 10 seconds, this will do the trick!

She tried to just chew her way through it, so it was kind of tricky getting her to be interested, but not discouraged when we'd tell her not to chew it. The only issue is the top with 3 openings is smaller than any treats i've found. but the one slot is too easy for her. I guess i'm getting out the drill to auger out the hole.

My 4 month old Australian cattle dog loves this dispenser. I put her food in the containers daily and she knows that she has to work to get her food. It took about a month of on-off training...but once it clicked - she has all the dispensers turning to get her food. She has even learned that if she puts her nose in the right place at the right time - the bin stays upside down and the kibbles pour out.
