Seems to ease itch, but...

I tried this product on my 10 week old kitten who I found in the street covered in fleas. After cleaning her up and taking her to the vet, I noticed she'd been scratching and biting and ended up with an itchy red hot spot from the constant biting. The spray seemed to make her less itchy in the long run, but both times I used it on her it seemed to encourage her to lick right away. I think she was bothered by having something wet on her skin, and the bitrix did absolutely nothing to stop her licking. Very frustrating.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I have a couple of cats that are extremely allergic to fleas. When I saw this product it sounded just like what I was looking for to give them some comfort and treat the dermititis. It works great! In a few days the dermititis was less scaly and they didn't seem to be scratching, licking and chewing at it as much as they had been.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Is this safe to use on face? and what about cat licking it?

  1. I would avoid spraying the product directly on the face as it could be accidentally sprayed into the pet's eyes, nose, or mouth.
