German Shepherd loves it and I love it for inside the house as it soft enough not to destroy anything but sturdy enough to take his big jaws. The only thing I would not recommend it for is a dog who likes to pull the stuffing out of it. Surprisingly there is quite a bit tightly packed inside as our other dog proved and it is an expensive toy to have its stuffing pulled out. Otherwise, I love it and this is our second one. The only reason we needed a replacement was because the other dog pulled out its stuffing.

WELLWE WERE HOPEFUL AS THIS WAS THE TOUGHEST TOY WE COULD FIND THAT WASNT A RUBBER BALL. THE TIGER THAT HAD IT MUST HAVE BEEN A KITTEN COMPARED TO OUR LAB HOUND MIX PUPPY THAT HAD IT OPENED WITHIN 4 MINUTES ON CHRISTMAS MORNING. SHES 14 MONTHS AND DESTROYS EVERYTHING, IT BREAKS OUR HEARTS THAT SHE HAS NO TOYS WHATSOEVER AS NOTHING SURVIVES HER, EXCEPT ANTLERS, AND THEY ARE NOT TOYS.

This toy is larger than my dog's head. I'm not sure he'd ever actually be able to play with it.

I must not have bothered to look at the dimensions before ordering this, but it's definitely larger than I expected at more than a foot in diameter. At first I thought this might be a problem, but our dogs handle it and it's actually pretty comical to see them carrying it around. The product is definitely sturdily built. We have two greyhounds that were quickly destroying your average squeaky toy and have not destroyed these after more than a week. The squeakers are so well embedded that it's actually hard for even me to make it squeak at times so it provides a challenge to the dog to find the squeaker and chew hard enough to make a noise. One of our dogs tends to pick at the edges in order to get into toys and she has managed to fray the edging in several places, but not to get into it yet. I'm not sure how much longer the edges will last though, she got through a Tuffy plush bone's edges in just an hour or so.

This was a good toy. Our dog loves soft toys, but they usually only last a few minutes. This one lasted a full week. He usually goes for the seams and that's how he got to the stuffing on this one. All in all a good toy though. Tougher than other 'tough' toys.

This is one tough toy! My Corgi is young and loves to chew on her toys. We have gone through many "tough" disc type toys and she has them chewed to pieces within a week or two. This Tuffy Ring is the exception! She has had it for three weeks now and barely has put a dent in it. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a toy that is great fun for the dog and will hold up beautifully. To the reviewer who said their dog had the stuffing out in a short amount of time, you obviously were reviewing the wrong product. This Tuffy Ring doesn't have stuffing, This is one of the reasons I chose it and why I believe it holds up so well.

My 1 1/2 yr old Lab is extremely tough on all toys. Now if the Tuffy toy is not rated 10 then it bites the dust just like any other toy I have gotten. I got the Mega Ring rated 10 two months ago and it is still going strong & my dog loves it.

If you have a dog that can chew, don't be swayed by the "toughness" ratings of these toys. I got the Mega Ring and the tug of war toy for my dogs. While he has a gentle soul; both toys were in piece, with stuffing every where, within 20 minutes.
