Questions
what kind of brush work best on a bunny
- Thank you for your inquiry. The grooming that a lionhead needs depends on the individual. Some require more than others. You could get a comb that has the teeth fairly close together, but not too close. If they are too far apart, it will not be effective, but too close and you will have trouble getting it through the fur. If the rabbit has longer fur all over, a slicker brush can be used.

how can i groom my dwarf hamster
- You better leave that to your hamster. Don't do it...they won't like you. This isn't a cat or dog.

Can you use the WARE Groom-N-Kit Small Animal Grooming Kit on hamsters?
- I know my response is super late but if anyone happens to come across then yes you can use ware grooming kit, I don't recommend the hard bristle/ metal bristle if the don't have a long coat or shed that much the soft brush is much better to use because hamsters have sensitive skin

how much do you need to groom your guinea pig
- Short haired: You really only need to brush short haired guinea pigs every few days or at least once a week. If they tend to shed than you should brush them every other day, if not every day. Long haired: For long haired guinea pigs you need to take time every day to comb out any mats. If you ave a hard time keeping up with grooming a long haired guiea pig than you can trim it. Trim the longer hair so it's not dragging when they walk, or you can take them to a groomer to have their hair trimmed. You should brush guinea pigs with a fairy stiff brush (small) and a small metal comb. When you are brushing be sure you are checking for mites, lice or sores on their skin. Brushing them keeps their coat in good condition. The most difficult part of nail trims are keeping your guinea pig still. However your guinea pigs will become less squirmy over time. You should clip your guinea pigs nails at least once a month. When it's your first and second time you should have someone there to hold them while you are clipping their nail. You can use nail clippers that are made for small animals or cats, but if you don't have them, human nail clippers work as well. When cutting the nails, you are basically just trying to cut the sharp tip off without cutting into the quick of their nail. The quick is inside the nail where blood vessels and nerve endings are located. If you cut into the the quick than there will be bleeding and your guinea pig will be in some pain. You can probably see the quick in your guinea pigs nails, the quick is the pink part inside the nail. Make your cut a bit in front of the quick. If you get too close than your guinea pig may still feel some pain. If you cannot locate the quick because their nails are dark, than you can try to guess where the quick is. The very tip of the nail is usually the safest place to clip. If you are too nervous to do this, which is understandable, consider taking them to a professional groomer or a vet. If you do clip their nails and you accidentally do cut into the quick, which can happen, there are things you can do. Just be ready to do something about it if it does happen. 1. Press the nail into a bar of soap of bees wax. 3. Flour or cornstarch can be used in a similar way. 4. If it's minor bleeding, than you can apply pressure to the tip of the nail. Just be sure there is no more bleeding before you put the pet back into it's cage.
