My picky cat loves this fresh from the sea flavor.

Now let me start off by saying the smell of this dry food is certainly strong, but my cats love it. The bag is foil lined, with vaccum sealing, so the food is fresh and smells like it came right out of the ocean. My picky male turns his nose up and most foods - including the VERY expensive ones. This dry food he found irrestistable, and I was thrilled to see him put weight back on and his coat is gorgeous. Even though the food smells strong right out of the bag, his litter box doesn't smell like you would think it might. Also, If you store the food in a sealed container, you won't notice the smell. In the end I figure my cats well being is more important than an odor issue when I first open the bag.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My cat was having constipation problems because he only will eat dry food. I decided to ask for help from a Petco employee and he recommended this type of cat food. It truly helped and my cat really likes it. I am very grateful!

Good Food-Bad Smell

It had some very impressive ingredients, so I thought it was worth trying, just to compare to another Grain-Free dry food. I had no idea however, of the very strong odor prior to buying, It was not only offensive to my nose, but my little kitty would walk away from it, even when she was looking to eat. Maybe the Chicken recipe wouldn't have such an awful smell, but I made the mistake of buying the "Salmon, Salmon Meal and Deboned Turkey." I'm sticking to Halo.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Wellness Complete Health Adult Salmon, Salmon Meal and Deboned Turkey Cat Food

I have 9 cats at home and all them prefer Wellness Salmon dry cat food. I just cannot EVER afford to run out of this item because my 9 kitties will really get upset about it. They're the bosses of the house so I do what is expected of me which is, I make sure that I never run out of this favorite of theirs. :-)

Yes, I recommend this product.

My cat was having stomach and skin problems; thin hair that fell out early, constant scratching (and no fleas), and throwing up 2-5 times/day. We tried so many different kinds of food, wet and dry, to no avail. Vet recommended this last one, before we were about to just make food for her. The throwing up stopped after about a week, and her full coat was back within 6 months. Miracle food! It's more expensive than I thought I'd ever pay for cat food, but I suppose she's worth it

Absolutely Not

Both of my cats developed skin and fur problems after several months of eating this food. Once I switched to a new food, their problems have reverted. The fur of my black cat became very rough and dull. It was also tinted red along his mane, which is a sign of missing an essentail amino acid. His dander also became really bad as well, resulting in very large mats in his long fur. My tabby cat became extremely itchy, likely developing an allergy to the GRAIN in this expensive "premium" food. Once she stopped eating it, she felt better within a week. So, in my experience, this is a very poor product that fails to adequately nourish cats.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Cats find it delicious

I recently switched to the Wellness brand cat food. I have not been feeding it to my two indoor cats long enough to speak to any difference in their health. I can, however, say that they loved the Salmon flavor dry food! They were less impressed by the Chicken & Turkey Indoor Health kibble.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Mixing the Wellness together.

  1. I buy equal amounts of tuna and turkey with salmon and alternate the flavors. My cat is small, and 1/3 of the 3 oz. cans along with a little dry seems to satisfy her. I feed twice a day. I don't mix flavors. She likes the tuna more than the other flavor, but she eats it.

Why do all organic cat food contain fruit and vegetables if cats are carnivores, and are only supposed to eat meat products?

  1. Cats in the wild also eat plant matter by way of ingesting the stomach contents of their prey. The stomach contents often contain plant matter and therefore the cat gets the benefits of the plant nutrients as well.
