Description

Squirrels are one of the top frustrations of bird feeding, but they don't have to be. Instead of letting them dominate your feeders, send them packing with Wild Delight Sizzle N' Heat blend. This seed blend is coated with chili pepper. While it is not a squirrel-proof product, manufacturer studies showed it is very effective at deterring squirrels. Once they taste the hot seeds, most squirrels look for other food sources. This blend is filled with the same highly desired ingredients birds love, with none of the filler ingredients. Birds enjoy sunflower seeds and kernels, peanuts, pistachios, and a blend of vitamins. Attracts most backyard songbirds.

  • - Spicy-hot seed blend reduces squirrel visits at feeders
  • - Birds don't mind the heat, but squirrels tend to look elsewhere
  • - Many bird-favorite seeds - sunflower seeds and kernels, peanuts & more

I ordered this spicey blend, but regretted it after I read an article about how inhumane it is if squirrels come into contact with it. Not only does it burn their mouths, but when they rub their eyes they experience excruciating pain. I tried putting it up high in a window feeder where the squirrels can't reach, but the birds tossed it around with their beaks and the seed fell to the ground where the squirrels feed. I don't want to hurt the squirrels. It made me feel terrible.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Squirrel Deterrent

I just put out this spicy bird seed; and, a squirrel is already sitting in the feeder chowing down. And, my woodpeckers do not like it. I think something is backwards here. The bear I had here recently didn't bother the feeders that had this seed in them.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I was ready to take my bird feeders down and get rid of them because the squirrels would empty them as fast as I filled them and then I purchased this product and I can say that I am so happy. The squirrels leave the feeders alone and the birds really enjoy them.

Yes, I recommend this product.

not squirrel proof

I was excited to buy this seed and try it in my feeder. The squirrels came immediately to check it out and they ate and ate and didn't seem to be bothered by the hot surface at all. I was hoping for a seed mix that would keep them off of this feeder. It will be a good seed for the birds, but not worth the extra cost for the "heat".

No, I do not recommend this product.
