Just what he needed

Perfect for our lovebird! Although he perches , he is a rescue and came to us with a somewhat weak leg. We needed a cage with space to put a flat surface for him higher up. He can climb fine so we also needed horizontal bars so he can get up to the highest perch. Most cages I've seen have vertical bars. This cage is just what he needed. The left side has a lower roof so we're putting a shelf halfway up and then he's got 2 distinct spaces. He still has room to fly from one side to the other and all his toys can be spread out nicely without being cluttered.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good practical cage

I used this cage mostly for parakeets. It’s roomy enough for two and the horizontal bars on the sides are good for keets or tiels. Bars are a good space apart for either keets, parrotlets, or tiels. A friend also used it for a lovebird. The different angles in the roof etc provide enrichment/entertainment which is important if your bird has to stay in the cage most of the time while you’re at work etc. The tall part is high enough for a good size hanging toy and the short part is roomy enough for a little swing or small toy. The dishes are sturdy and can go in your dishwasher. They stay cleaner by being away from the tallest area. The door is conveniebt and safe because it makes a ramp (instead of sliding like a guillotine.) And it’s much harder for sm children or other pets (or your bird) to open it. I transport my birds in my medium suv and this cage fits fine usually. But I couldn’t use it when we evacuated bc of hurricane. It’s a good idea to keep a travel size cage on hand.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 3 of 3 Questions
Sort by: Newest Answers

What stand would you use for this cage?

  1. Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not carry any stands that are designed for this cage, let alone any cages that are separate from the stand. We sincerely apologize. However, as long as the cage fits comfortably on the stand, it should not matter what kind you use.

Are the bars close enough that a canary could not get out?

  1. Thank you for your inquiry. This product has 1/2" bar spacing.

What is the spacing between bars?

  1. Thank you for your question. The bar spacing on the You & Me Cockatiel Ranch House Bird Cage is 0.50" from center of bar to center of bar.
