Much smaller than I was expecting, came out of the box with broken bars, and was upsettingly difficult to assemble. The headache isn't worth the cheap price tag

So for the price point you can't beat it, especially if its on sale which happens pretty regularly. The main downside is quality control from the manufacturer of this product. Most of these cages come with some sort of damage. Foster & Smith has WONDERFUL customer service and will give you options if you call and let them know it is damaged. The bar spacing is small so even baby rats can stay in. The base is perfect for less mess with bedding. I also love the fact the cage is pressurized into the base so no chewing or squeezing out possible through the bottom.

I freaking love this cage soo much!!! Its can fit up to three rats if the space is used wisely (toys, hammocks). It was fairly easy to put together. The bar spacing is perfect and will not let a rat escape. There is two doors for easy access. The only thing thats wrong with this cage is that the floors are wire so i would recommend putting somethin soft overtop of them for the purpose if not giving your rat bumble feet. Also the little holders that are inbetween the cage and the pan kept making the cage fall so i simply used some zip ties to make it sturdy. But this cage is literally perfect and my rat Janey loves it!

I bought this cage for my female rats I figured hey for the price and size I'll give it a chance. Well when I opened the box the first thing I noticed was the bottom tray had a huge dent which I was little upset about because it no does not sit flat but kind of wobbles. The second thing I noticed was that the cage was folded into its self which was very hard to get to come part because its hooks to hold it together were all stuck everywhere once I got it all open and unstuck it was time for the shelves which were a nightmare to get in after some help I finally got it together its a pretty nice cage for the money the shelves are pretty stable and its rather large I use it for my three smaller girls and they love it. Over all its a good cage for the price you pay and I would recommend it.

I had Casper in Rat Home cage. Way too small. Received Rat Manor and he totally loves going up and down ladders. I covered them myself easy to do since he's not a chewer. I have all kinds of toys tunnels and chewys he has not touched. You can change up shelving and do different layouts. The shelves are a bit flimsy but do have to get them in just right to work.Waterbottle does fit on outside. Have hammock up top giant igloo in bottom. Wish I could show picture.

I really like it :3 For its price it's pretty good and cool my rats love it , I thought it was gonna be really bad or something since it have lots of negative comments but i find it perfect thanks for the fast shipping!

This cage is a good size for two rats and has plenty of room for toys and hammocks, though it does need some light modifying. Shelving can/should be covered with fleece liners, something I'd recommend even for solid shelves as it makes cleaning much easier. I also recommend zip-tying the shelves to keep them in place. The large critter space pods fit through the doors, and there's plenty of room for two or three of them, even with other toys. I like the tool-less assembly because it can be stored flat in the pan when not needed. The ramps might be too steep for senior rats, but adding hammocks as extra "floor" should help. It has a lot of potential and is chew-proof, making it a solid starter cage.

This cage should have absolutely no relativity to rats. The floors and levels are completely unacceptable because of the wire and mesh. it can give rats a very very serious disease called bumblefoot. please don't put your ratties in pain. (by the way, get at least two.)
