Hermie really,really likes to munch on the Mineral Blocks!

My hermit crabs love the mineral blocks. I'm sometimes gone for long weekends, and the mineral block helps a lot to keep my hermits fed and healthy. I don't even remove it when I get back because they're still munching on it and sometimes prefer the mineral block over regular food! As long as it stays dry, I don't mind if they finish it off in a week or two. They will drag it around and bury it and treat it just like any other food, which it is, so you do need to remove the remainder of it after a few days, especially if it gets water-logged. If you have very small hermits, I'd suggest splitting the block in half or thirds to give them a smaller amount that they are more likely to finish in a week. A jumbo hermit could eat one whole block by itself over a long weekend, so make sure there is enough for everyone in the tank!
