Parakeet Approved

I've been trying to transition my parakeets onto pellets for months. These are the first ones that they have actually eaten and not just crunched up or thrown on the ground. The product smells nice and fruity and doesn't taste too bad! If you're having a hard time getting a small bird to eat pellets try buying the smallest you can find -- these are the size of the seeds they normally eat. This is at least 6 dollars cheaper than I can find at local pet stores.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My finch and Canaries love this product!

Because my birds love it so do I. My Canaries, Finch and Grasskeets are beautiful and healthy and this is the main ingredient in their diets, with fresh fruits and vegetables everyday and Quinoa with Egg food during breeding season and molting. Seed is a frequent treat. My only problem is I need the 10 pound bags :-( that used to be available here ( hint hint)

My birds love this and there is no waste they eat every bite. I just wish you offered it in bulk or larger quanities for people who have several birds.

This product is good for my cockatiel.

My cockatiel is a very picky eater and favors seed. Our avian vet does not want him on an all seed diet. Actually he would prefer for him not to have any seed at all because of his liver condition. He loves the fruit blend flavor and the smaller size is his preference. I think the color first attracted him, but he actually loves it. Yes! So happy because it is good for him. And Drs. Foster & Smith has the best price on this product.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Budgies love it!

My budgies actually prefer this size to the size made for the budgies. The pellets are too large for them, so they eat this one instead :) They love crunching on the pellets, they have fun foraging for them.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Excellent Product

I've been feeding this to my finch for over 2 years now & he's approx 12 years old. When I started the product he had bald spots & was showing his age, I started feeding him this & he molted drastically, I was concerned be might be susceptible to health issues, but his feathers came back in with a brilliance I've never seen. Everyone thought Burt had died & I got a new finch, but it was him & he's still going strong.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My canary loves it and I was so happy to see my dove does too. It's hard to find anything thing that gets him excited but, this does. He sits by his bowl all day.

Finches seem to love it

Only complaint with this product is the messy "colorful" bird droppings stuck on everything! But if you have birds, this is just part of owning them. My finches seem to love it. I try to feed them a well rounded diet too, not just seed products alone. I keep it in my freezer & it keeps a very long time until I need to reorder.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Food freshness

  1. Don't shop E-bay for products with a shelf life. I have never gotten old food from Foster & Smith.
