For complete nutrition, ensure any ZuPreem diet or combination of diets you feed makes up at least 80% of what your bird eats every day. Most birds consume 20% of their weight daily - adjust amounts to ensure your bird's optimum body condition. This diet has precise levels of important vitamins and minerals, supplements are not required and could be harmful. Do not leave moistened food in the cup for long periods of time.

This product is in no way a sufficient diet for any bird let alone a parrot, macaw or cockatoo. The dried fruits they use have absolutely no nutritional value for birds, lowest on the ‘good’ list in fact. Two of the highest on their list of ingredients are items birds should never have in their diet, sugar and salt, let alone iodized salt. ‘Long term cooking’ removes nutrients, and the food is full of preservatives. Yes it is a colorful treat with fun shapes for now and then AFTER eating or to encourage eating of a healthy human grade pellet diet but in no way do the dried apples, oranges, grapes (sugar), bananas, provide enough Vit A as carrots, sweet potatoes, calcium rich greens and jalapeños, even mushrooms that we are led to believe, nor contains enough of any of this for 80% of a birds diet. You’d need to supplement huge portions of that with it. Very misleading information on the description they provide to DFS and on their packaging.

No, I do not recommend this product.
