Party-Color Food!

My birds love this so much! (It actually tastes really good). Everyone has his or her favorite color . When they see that I have brought them their food they go straight into their homes. My pionus, Kiwi even uses the little pieces as a back scratcher, how innovative!

Yes, I recommend this product.

My Pionus parrot loves this fruit blend and it's what his vet recommends. Would have given 5stars if not for the shipping packaging. Having to deal withe the packaging "peanuts" is not fun. Wish an alternate could be used.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I have used at one time or another almost all brands of pelleted diets for parrots. Without exception my birds prefer Zupreen. Where as they would pick through and throw out so much of other pellets, the waste is so very little with mostly the exception of color, a couple of greys will only eat the red and purple and one amazon will not eat green until all else is gone. They do get other seed mixes as a treat and variety in their diets. Zupree is their main diet.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My Yellow Naped Amazon gives a new meaning to the words "seed junky"! After some medical issues & the vet telling me she was obese, we tried (yet again) to convert to a healthier pelleted diet. This conversion was a must, so again we started trying every pelleted diet known to man. The best pelleted diets are the diets your parrot will eat! I was lucky I have another parrot who gladly helped with all the pellets my Yellow Nape wouldn't even touch. After weeks of trying different diets & different methods, she finally gave in & ate Zupreem FruitBlend. After 30 years of eating a seed diet we are finally converted. My 2 Parrots highly recommend Zupreem FruitBlend!!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good stuff, my birds love it. It has a pleasant scent and is colorful so they do not snub it like some of the drab brown, no smell pellets.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good for Senegals? How much daily?

  1. I think it would be fine, this is all my pionus really wants to eat, she is smaller than a Senegal.

Are you supposed to moisten the food?

  1. My caique solves the problem by dunking every single pellet in his water dish, and then fishing (most of) it out. Maybe if your macaw will accept things you hand feed him, you might try moistening a pellet in water (or maybe even juice, if he likes some kind of juice) and giving it to him; then once he accepts that, go the next step and dunk it in his water cup before you give it to him. I only give a tablespoon or two to my birds each day; that way, they eat most of it within a couple of days and you don't have to worry about spoilage. You wouldn't want to keep moist ("Dunked") food in the cup, of course, if your bird drops it back in his cup. But none of my birds has ever done this. They do show preferences for colors: my green-cheeked conures don't like the purple or orange pellets, and my caique doesn't like the green ones. Go figure!

Will the 17.5 lb Zupreem bird food, item #sku1390139, be available in your retail stores for $43.99 after 05/06/2013? Thank you for your time, concern

  1. Thanks for contacting us through the Petco portal. We just were advised of this program. I see your question is from some time ago. The 17.5 lb bags are not available at Petco retail stores. Often they have these on their website. You might check there. Thanks.
