I have three conures and a quaker. Pellet food is not high on their list of favorites. My first order of this brand I chose the one for medium to large birds. This time I chose the size for medium birds, with a cockatiel on the bag. The pieces are much smaller and more readily eaten by the birds. They probably think it is a new seed or fruit, lol.

My cockatiels don’t want to eat anything else. My Plum Head Paraketes and Quaker like it with their seed. All of my birds like to munch it sometimes. I store it in a big bowl, and when I take the top off, my Lucy(Cockatiel) jumps in the bowl and starts munching away. It’s a challenge to keep her out! Of course, they love it the most if they can go into another birds cage and eat theirs!

The only reason I gave this product a 4 star is that my Gray and MaCaw waste some of it. They pick certain colors and throw them out. It isn't always the same. I tried the non colored and they wasted the same amount. I continue to feed this as my birds maintain good health on it.

Zupreem fruit blend is and always has been a favorite of my birds. Wish it came in a larger bag. Love the smell. Have not had any problems with Zupreem.

My birds love these pellets. Always fresh and no bugs in bags. Very good for all birds. Comes in many sizes for all kinds of birds. Lots of good vitamins for your birds too.

I have a small aviary and breed hookbills. I feed my flock a well-rounded diet of ZuPreem Fruit Blend and Natural pellets in addition to fresh fruits, veggies, herbs, a quality seed/nut blend, and whole grains, and they thrive! I actually prefer to feed a pellet that's a size or two smaller than the bird (cockatiel size for conures and other medium-sized birds, a medium-sized pellet for macaws and cockatoos, etc.) as I have found that there's less waste. I then put the "crumbs" that are left over into birdie bread or chop.

Is this OK for Quaker parrots?

I think the size is fine for your quaker. He can take the round pieces in one bite or hold if he chooses but probably have to grasp the banana shapes. I tend to think birds eat what they are accustomed to. A bird not used to pellets will likely require a great deal of time before choosing to eat them. I think most prefer seeds and fruit if they can get them.

Does the 17.5 bag of fruit blend medium grain come in one bag or several?

2016 bag is paper like dog food and has to be rolled up to close. It is not zippered like the smaller bags. I'm going to have to put in freezer bags to keep air-tight. Very disappointed in bagging, but my lovebirds, conures, and tiels love it.
