I've been feeding my macaw Hot Rod Zupreem products for as long as I have had him. The quality of the food is excellent and the product is always fresh. I have purchased a few varieties of this brand and Hot Rod enjoys all of them.

My 3 Cockatoos love these pellets and my original supplier was out so, I ordered through Petco.....BOY, was I disappointed when I received these pellets! The bag was full of worms! Not something a bird owner loves to see enter their home as these are so hard to get rid of! Quality control is, need I say, POOR!!!!

This is the standard Natural pellets. I had been feeding the fruit blend, but some of the kids would NOT eat the orange pellets so over a month they were switched over to the natural pellets, so there is less waste. One note, I bought 6 - 20# bags and they were shipped 3 bags to a box, which was a little unmanageable, but ultimately was able to bring them inside....

A good maitenance food like this should be the primary base of any birds diet. The plumage on my bird has improved as well as his overall condition. As long as I can buy the 20 lb bags from petco at a reasonable price with shipping, I will have a happy, healthy bird.

I have an African grey and a Blue and Gold. I shop here because they have the 20lb bag. Big birds are messy, each bite of a pellet and half of it shoots out of the cage. Keep selling the big bags, and Im in.

I have an active 14 yr old blue and gold macaw and have always used this pellet brand. I am very happy with it; she seems to be too. I like that is the nuetral brown color because the multi-colored ones usually give her digestive difficulties. This is a good quality food for the price. I just wish I could find the natural color ones in a larger size like they make for the multi-color ones. Macaws go through a lot of pellet and it would save to buy in bulk.
