The number of guppies that can live in a fish tank depends on the size of the tank and the level of care provided. Guppies are relatively small fish and are generally considered to be a good choice for small to medium-sized aquariums. As a general rule of thumb, you can have approximately 1 to 2 gallons of water per guppy. So, for example, a 10-gallon tank can comfortably accommodate around 5 to 10 guppies.

However, it's essential to consider other factors like filtration, aeration, and the presence of hiding spots and plants. A well-filtered tank with plenty of hiding places and plants can support a larger number of guppies. Additionally, keep in mind that guppies are social fish, and they do best when kept in small groups. It's recommended to have at least 3 to 4 guppies together to ensure they feel secure and display their natural behaviors.
