Dog Agility Equipment

Dog agility is a sport in which dogs are directed through a pre-set course by their handlers.

Common dog agility equipment includes tunnels, weave poles, jumps and frisbees or flying discs. Try them all or stick to a couple basics.

Purchase dog agility equipment and flying discs at your neighborhood Petco store or at petco.com.

We encourage positive dog training. Familiarize your dog (and yourself) with the equipment before beginning training. Reward positive behavior with treats. Consult a dog trainer for more in-depth answers.

Using positive reinforcement, teach your dog to hold the disc in their mouth. Once they’ve mastered that, reward them for catching the disc in the air from up close. Slowly add distance. With patience and positive rewards, your pup will soon be catching flying discs and having fun!
