I purchased two of these.
Best purchase I have ever made for my dogs. If we can't get home to let them in I know they are safe and dry weather its raining or snowing.

Poor construction and design

I purchased this knowing from some of the reviews that it as a bit of a gamble but thought that the porch design would be helpful to keep rain out of the dog house portion. One wall was stapled so poorly that it fell apart as I took it out of the box. The roof is not predrilled so it is unclear exactly how it should lie and one side of the roof was designed to drill into wood that would never hold the 1/2 roof when it was opened. Had to put a brick under the dog house to hold up the floor.
No, I do not recommend this product.

We bought this online with the a special. (20% off and free shipping) We receive it and notice that not only is one of the legs broken but there were many nicks and dents. We went to return it to our local store and the manager was rude from the first minute. After returning it and saying he could not do an even exchange and that we had to call to re-order a new one. So we called petco.com and they said they could not give us the deal on a new dog house since we returned it "incorrectly." After being on the phone for 1/2 hour they gave it to us for 15% off and we had to pay for shipping. So we actually paid more for the 2nd house. The second one just arrived. The sides of the dog house are so bad we would have to glue pieces together, there are nicks and dents all over it and the roof has tar all over the top of the shingles. We have to return it and will be purchasing a different one at another store.
No, I do not recommend this product.

The house is cute, however, when it arrived several pieces were split and I had to use wood glue to fix them. Instructions were extremely difficult to follow, and the wood is thin, flimsy, and splits very easily. I wish now I would have gone with a plastic/wood house instead.
