I measured my dog's neck to be 10" so I thought this collar would be best since it's supposed to fit 8" to 12." When I tried the collar on, it was way too big. I'm going to return the collar to get a smaller size.

Color was not as seen in picture. It appeared to be more of a sky blue and when it arrived it was a dark royal blue so you couldn't see the monogram Sizing is not as stated in description. It was very large.

The collar itself great. Sturdy, and the stitching is very readable. I just wish the sizing was a little more understandable. The collar I bought ended up being VERY big.

I have ordered well over a dozen of these collars through the years for four different dogs ranging in weight from 30-65 pounds. They hold up well, with very little fraying even with my dogs running through the woods and roughhousing with each other, and are durable enough to go through the washing machine. I have had my escape artist beagle returned to me safe and sound on more than one occasion because he was wearing one of these collars. That said, I am only giving four stars because potential buyers should be aware that these collars with the plastic buckle should NOT be used to restrain large and/or strong dogs. I recently had my 55lb hound/lab completely snap through the plastic buckle while tied out with the result that she was loose without any collar on at all. This happened previously with my old 65lb pit bull mix; he was a powerful dog who fortunately had no inclination to run away. But I did not expect it with my current smaller dog. My beagle is a burly 40lbs and I haven't had this problem with him over 10 years and at least 4 of these collars. Bottom line: Be aware that these plastic buckles are not that strong, so if you think your dog might have the size or strength (I would say 50lbs and up) to break them you should go with the version that has a metal buckle -- which is exactly what I am going to order right now! The metal buckle version gets the full 5 stars from me.

I found this collar under the cats section of the site, however when I received it it did not have a cat style snap release collar. it had a dog style pinch quick release buckle. I cannot let my cat wear this outside because it is unsafe. However is it very well made, the embroidery is well done, so we keep it to hang his rabies tags on. I probably should have returned it, but frankly didn't want to be bothered.

This is a great product for a dog but way too big cats even pulled as small as you could go with a name on it. Too bad, I really like it with their name on it.
