Leather corals are one of the fastest growing corals available in the hobby, and the Nano Green Cabbage is no exception. A tall and quickly-spreading coral, Green Cabbage can be kept in conditions that would be non-ideal for many corals (like low light and high nutrients) and are very easy to propagate by taking cuttings and tying them to a small piece of live rock rubble. Like many soft corals, they do well if placed on rockwork "islands" so they can be more easily contained to one area of the tank. If "islands" are not present be sure to provide ample space in between neighboring corals. Most leather corals can release a toxin that irritates its neighbors and turns them brown; for a safe introduction, give them a saltwater rinse after shipping and ensure your filtration has carbon. For best results, give these moderate lighting and higher, intermittent water flow, which can be achieved using powerheads or wave makers.
- - Provide an aquarium placement with moderate lighting and higher, intermittent water flow
- - Provide supplemental additions of calcium and other trace elements
- - For continued health, supplement with small meaty foods when lights are off
- - Cannot tolerate copper medications
- - Prefers well-established aquariums
- - Reef safe

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.
